SAP FICO SENIOR CONSULTANT

Role Summary

We are seeking a SAP FICO Consultant – Senior with proven S/4HANA experience to design, configure, and optimize financial and controlling processes. The role is responsible for Bank Accounting (BL), Asset Accounting (AA), General Ledger (GL), AP/AR, budgeting and Availability Control (AVC), CO-PA (account-based and cost-based), assessment/distribution cycles, carry forward (FAGLGVTR), Results Analysis/WIP/COGS, as well as Mexico localization and DRC. The consultant will collaborate with multicultural teams and lead FI/CO deliverables ensuring time-to-value, quality, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirements gathering, functional design, and FI/CO configuration in S/4HANA (GL, AP, AR, BL, AA) and integration with other modules.

• Define and maintain the controlling area and its assignment to company codes; support CO structures (cost centers, assessment cycles/allocation structures).

• Configure and operate electronic banking and bank reconciliation (e.g., FI01/FI12/FBZP/FF_5/FF67/FEBAN/S_P00_07000249).

• Manage Asset Accounting (acquisitions/disposals via ABAVN, depreciation AFAB, period/year-end activities AJAB/AJRW).

• Execute carry forward of balances and period-end activities (FAGLGVTR).

• Implement and manage Availability Control (AVC) and budgeting; validate documents that trigger warnings.

• CO-PA (account-based & cost-based): operating concern modeling, characteristics, and profitability reporting.

• Results Analysis (WIP, COGS, reserves for unrealized costs) in project/order scenarios.

• Ensure compliance with Mexico localization and DRC (Document & Reporting Compliance).

• Produce documentation (BBP/FD), support testing (SIT/UAT), deliver training, and coordinate with ABAP/Integrations.

• Direct workshops from global teams accountable for deliverables each project and services

• Mentor end user teams as well as colleagues

• Gather, define and negotiate change request

Mandatory Skills

• S/4HANA Finance (GL, AP, AR, Bank Accounting (BL), Asset Accounting (AA)).

• Controlling (CO): controlling area and company code assignments, assessment cycles and allocation structures.

• CO-PA (account-based & cost-based): characteristics design and reporting.

• Availability Control (AVC) and budget control.

• Period-end closing: FAGLGVTR (carry forward), AFAB, FI/CO close operations.

• Banking: configuration & operations using FI01, FI12, FBZP, FF_5, FF67, FEBAN, S_P00_07000249.

• Asset Accounting: disposals via ABAVN, year-end activities AJAB/AJRW (operational knowledge), depreciation.

• Results Analysis/WIP/COGS.

• Mexico Localization and DRC.

• Minimum 5–7 years in FI/CO implementations/enhancements (including S/4HANA).

Nice to Have

• SAP S/4HANA Finance certification.

• Experience in multicultural projects and Agile/Scrum.

• Integrations with SD/MM/PP/PS (end-to-end FI/CO–Logistics flow).

• Experience with Report Painter/Fiori Analytics and AFO/SAC.
