DATA PLATFORM ENGINEER with GCP

Data Platform Engineer + GCP en Capgemini México

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Data Platform Engineer with a strong background in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues across complex data ecosystems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, and designing scalable solutions using GCP’s suite of data services. If you have a passion for cloud technologies, data engineering, and continuous improvement, and bring hands-on experience with tools like BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Composer, we’d love to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), especially in data services.

• 3+ years of experience in the cloud or data engineering industry, with at least 1 year working directly with GCP.

• 1+ years supporting enterprise-scale data platforms or cloud-based data applications.

• Deep expertise in GCP data services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, Cloud Composer, Pub/Sub.

• Strong programming skills in Python or Java, with experience in data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Beam, Spark).

• Solid understanding of cloud architecture, distributed systems, and data engineering principles.

• Experience with data pipeline orchestration, monitoring, and debugging.

• Knowledge of data governance, security best practices, and compliance standards.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in debugging data pipeline failures and performance bottlenecks.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
