Construction Site Manager – Jefe/a de Obra

Osprey Developers is expanding its construction team in The Bahamas and is seeking experienced, hands-on Construction Site Managers to lead on-site operations for high-end residential and commercial projects.
Depending on project size, the Site Manager may oversee one large project or multiple smaller projects within the same area, working closely with the Project Manager.
This role is ideal for professionals who are comfortable being fully site-based, coordinating multiple trades, solving problems in real time, and ensuring construction progresses safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities include
Leading and managing daily on-site construction activities
Supervising subcontractors and site crews (typically 20–100 workers)
Coordinating concrete works, block construction, and MEP installations
Ensuring all work complies with drawings, specifications, and quality standards
Maintaining a safe, organized, and productive job site
Monitoring schedules and proactively support on-time project delivery
Managing materials, deliveries, and on-site storage logistics
Preparing daily site reports and progress updates
Supporting cost control through efficient use of labor and materials
What We’re Looking For – Experience & Technical Background
Minimum 3 years of experience in site management or construction supervision
Professional background as an Architect or Civil Engineer
Proven experience managing subcontractors and crews on active construction sites
Experience in ground-up construction projects
Fluency in spoken and written English
Ability to work full-time on site in a hands-on role
Interest in developing a medium- to long-term professional path with the company in an international environment

Strong on-site leadership and team coordination skills
High level of autonomy and accountability
Practical problem-solving and decision-making abilities in on-site conditions
Solid planning and organizational skills, particularly regarding materials and sequencing
Ability to adapt to changing conditions, logistical constraints, and non-standard environments
Clear communication with crews, subcontractors, and project management
